QUADMARTS 2026 TRAVEL INFORMATION
The Keck Center
The Keck Center houses the Keck Institute for Space Sciences (KISS). It is located on the Caltech campus at 345 S. Michigan Avenue, Pasadena, California 91106, just south of East Del Mar Blvd, between S. Wilson Ave Avenue and Chester Avenue.
Accommodations
QUADMARTS attendees can take advantage of a special rate at the Saga Motor Hotel 633 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, by booking before October 8th. Please make reservations by calling at +1 626 795 0431 or online through https://thesagamotorhotel.com. If booking online, in the special instructions put “QUADMART” and the pricing will be adjusted. See below for the special rate:
Single (full) room: 1 adult $105 per night, 2 adults $115 per night
King room: 1 adult $115 per night, 2 adults $125 per night
Here you can find a list of other hotels that are close to the Caltech campus where we have a negotiated rate, although some information may not be updated, and may not be the cheapest rate available by internet. There are many hotels within 1-2 miles of campus.
The Caltech Athenaeum on campus, a platinum club which serves as the faculty club, has a limited number of rooms ($278-$460/night plus tax). Please contact quadmarts@gmail.com if you are interested.
Flight Information
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the main airport serving the LA area. However there are also two regional airports.
The Burbank-Hollywood Airport (BUR) provides a quick and easy access to Pasadena. It is located approximately 14 miles (20 min drive without traffic) and does not require travel through downtown LA. It is highly recommended for those traveling from the Bay Area and other locations served by Southwest Airlines. The major carriers have fewer gates but those provide direct (though limited) flights from their main hubs: Delta (Atlanta and Salt Lake City), United (SFO and Denver), American Airlines (DFW and PHX) and Jet Blue (JFK). There are no direct flights to international locations but you may wish to consider BUR if you are making connecting flights (e.g. Air France/Delta through Atlanta).
Ontario airport (ONT) also has connections to several hubs, however it is located 35 miles away and is less convenient.

Parking (for Visitors and for JPL Personnel)
For Visitors: From the Arroyo Parkway, turn right (east) on Del Mar Avenue. Proceed approximately one and a quarter miles. The Caltech campus will be on your right. Turn right (south) onto Wilson Avenue. Turn right into the North Wilson Structure and park in an unmarked spot. Buy a parking permit from the kiosk located inside the North Wilson Structure.
For JPL Personnel: JPLers may use their JPL hang tag for parking or request a special parking hangtag from the JPL parking office. Please park in an unmarked spot in the North Wilson Structure located on Wilson Avenue.
Caution: Most city street parking (except parts of S. Wilson Ave) are 2 hours or less. There is no night time parking on city streets(2am-6am); this is strictly enforced. Parking within Caltech during the day requires a permit (which you can purchase) but is free from 5pm to 7am.
